Calcium reactor setup question

I am in the second week of the use a new Tunze reactor and CO2 controller. I am pleased with compact design of this unit. The only question is the reactor body needs a forward( towards the outlet valve) tilt to drip water from the unit. If the body is verticle the effluent will stop. Is this normal or do I need to address this? Thanks Bill

It should work regardless of level provided it is submerged to the proper depth. The manuals have a misprint and they need to be submerged at least 180cm but I basically submerge them to the groove on the side of the body just below the drip outlet. The only other possibility would be something blocking the pump or to much CO2.
