Calcium reactor

Does anyone have plans for one or can anyone explain how it works? I get that the co2 gets bubbled through the media some how but how is the rate controlled? How can you figure out how big it should be etc...

Here is a good overview of how they work. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-05/sh/feature/index.php As for getting the correct size, when you look at them they should tell you what size tank they support. It all depends on the load that you will have. If you have a monster clam, you will need the biggest one that you can find, but if you just have some SPS, I go by what the manufacturer specs say. You controll the flow rate by an output valve of some sort. Hope that helped.

Ah thanks, I tried searching for "calcium" but it came up with no results, even though manually looking through the first few pages I saw a couple threads with it in the title.
