Is the a small flush trim bit made for rotary tools with a 1/8" shank? I can't seem to find one. I have a couple of projects that I would rather use a dremmel for but would like to be able to table mount it for router like use without having to get a rotozip with 1/4" shank....Thoughts?

couple of options. Dremel makes router base attachments, and depending how handy you are you can make a little table for it to mount on, giving you a mini router table.

This is a nice little tool, that fits onto your dremel and is adjustable, so you can flush cut, cut deep, cut shy, whatever you want. Takes a little practice to get nice with it.

This is a really nice router base for a dremmel.

A decent bit

Hope this helps

What exactly are you trying to route??? If its acrylic its gonna chatter pretty bad and most likely bend the shank unless its 1/8th thick...

Yeah it would be 1/8" acrylic for a nano project. Actually I just decided to go a different route so I may hold off on this for a bit. Thanks for the responses!

i have several router bits from there (store in a local mall) & they work very well. did all the router woodwork in my build thread w/ them & a crappy handheld trim router from harbor freight LOL

**edit** thought you were looking for 1/4" shank....mis-read original post, but they do work great & are as cheap price-wise as you will find. :)

here is the cheap trim router i got from harbor freight

....good for small jobs, but i also edge-routered some 3/4" plywood w/ it. just had to take the majority of the cut off w/ a jig saw 1st or the lil router would bog down LOL

I have seen 1/8 inch High Speed Steel HSS spiral cutting bits at Home DePot. They are used to cut drywall with the rotray tool.

They don't work worth a darn on acrylic.
