Camel Back Shrimp

I bought a couple of camel back shrimp from fishtown a couple of weeks ago because the guy in the store told me they were just like peppermint shrimp, but these were from Sri Lanka. Well, my mushrooms and polyps started to disappear. I spent the last two weeks thinking it was my water quality until today I did a search on these shrimps and found out they are not reef safe. I must of lost over 50 mushrooms.

Pepermint shrimp will also eat polyps if no other food is avaliable.

sorry to hear, yea camels are notorious polyp/softy eaters. I learned that lesson the hard way too back in the day when nobody knew any better.
