Can 1009 spg hyposalinity be done in a FOWLR?

I just started up my tank after curing my rock for 8 wks. I have 4 fish in it presently with no corals. One of the fish is showing signs of Cryptocaryon. I am going to be setting up a QT tank, but was wondering how detrimental the hyposalinity would be on my live rock if I decided to do it in my main tank.
Thanks

the bacterias would become dormant for a while as they adjust.

Anything that is alive on the rocks will die which would cause a huge ammonia/nitrite spike, which would kill your fishs.

however...it depends. I did hypo with rocks and didn't have any spikes.
But i think because the rocks were base and/or cooked.
