My toadstool and derasa clam are beginning to touch. So far I have not noticed any ill affects. Should I be concerned with this? Should I move them apart?
Thanks
Richie (jackson)
My understanding is that corals usually do not bother clams. But, make sure that the clam does not get shaded by the coral. If that happens, you ought to move him.
yeah, corals don't sting clams but as was pointed out, watch for shading. I had a Catalaphyllia resting on the mantle of one of my clams for a couple of months with no ill-effects.
