Can I get feedback/reviews for Reeflo Barracuda pumps?

I would love to find out what people who own these pumps think of them.

Do they last?
Do they push water well?
If it is teed off does it lose pressure more so than normal?

I read that if you restrict the flow the pump will just work less hard using less power. Any info on this?

And what the heck is pressure rated? (I am guessing this is a foolish question, but anyway... haha)

Thanks,
Michael

I know I have seen others that have them. I have one and love it. Pressure rated is to do higher-head applications an so on, really long pipe runs.

It puts out a good deal more water than the ampmaster 3000, and doesn't leak around the seals.

Nice and quiet, too.

I use one for my basement fish room to pump up to my 125 Gal display. Even after pumping up one story through 1 inch plumbing to two return nozzles, I still have to redirect some flow back to the sump, because two AGA megaflows cannot keep up with the flow.

It has been running for more than two years 24/7 without a problem.

I say it is a very good pump.

Stu, you wouldn't be from Pittsburgh would you?

VERY good pump, what is the head pressure you need for your application?

I don't know. It will pump up around 5'.

I have the dart gold.

Came with leaky seal. Called reeflo, they sent a new seal. that leaked too.

Right now I believe I got a lemon.

That are going to send a new pump

I believe the shaft is slightly bent

Looks like some improvements can be made.
