10 gallon glass, heater, regular hang on filtration?

Or should I use a CPR bakpak skimmer that I have?

Also please tell me if I'm wrong but no LS or LR right?

What about carbon?

Sorry I'm sorta new to QT tanks and I want to start doing things right with one. Thanks

Do you run a QT at all times even when you are not adding anything or do you set it up right before you add something. I just lost two clowns which will made the first two fish in three years I have lost so I want to start QT before adding anything but I don't plan on adding anything for a while.

I've use a 20g with a HOB filter and heater but depending on what fish, a 10g could work.

Big thing is, is to keep an eye on NH3, it can build lethal fast (need keep up the water changes).

I'd do water changes every week like I do on my other two tanks. I'll have nothing bigger than an anthias. I plan on getting another two clowns "I'm going for tank raised 100% for sure this time, no LFS, then afterwards a pair of anthias, a bundle of chromis, then finally in 6 months a mandarin.
