not trying to get something for free, just want to cross check my results. i have some test kits that are pretty old and before i got out and spend $100+ on test kits id like to cross check someones reputable test kits to my own. mainly looking for calc, alk, phosphates, and nitrates and possibly mag. i was having some issues with nitrates which were driving me crazy with my sps. i have since gotten a new RODI unit and added a ER CS6-2+ nitrates dropped considerably, just based on my kit just dont know exactly where they are. also wondering if anyone has some refractometer calibration fluid. id like to calibrate mine. i can give you a sample of my water or i can go over and test it with you. PM me if you think you can help. Im in davie FL.

if you cant find someone, i know many fish stores do it for free. that is where i bring mine for cross checking

i would and ive tried that but most stores only test for ammonia nitrite and ph. i want to check stuff more specific to keeping sps like calc, alk, nitrate, phos, all of which i have i just want to cross check them. id also like to get tested magnesium somehow if possible. and to get my refractometer calibrated.

im in P Pines and if you like you can swing by. I have salifert test kits.

carlos, what kits do you have (alk, calc, trate, etc...)? i will be out of town till sunday night, so i wont be able to come by till maybe monday. dont know if that works for you. ill also be going to the FMAS meeting this tuesday most likely also.

hey i just got a great idea, lol. our FMAS cluub should buy some nice test kits for the club and every meeting we have people can bring thier water and do some water testing before and after the meeting. :) we can even all pitch in as members with some $ to help buy them. just a thought.

If you want to make a trip to C.S., I'll test your water. Have mostly Elos kits. Hanna colorimeter for low range phosphates.

cool, im in coral springs every day. i work there, right off sample and 124 ave. close to sample and coral ridge drive. if its ok with you maybe ill tak eyou up on that. woul dhave to be monday the earliest though, cuz like i said, ill be out of town till sunday night. hows the leg?

I'm still off work due to knee surgery. Monday is good except for a 9:45 AM Doc appt and a 3:00 PM Doc appt. We'll just need to work around those two appt's.

I'm VERY close to Sample Rd. and Riverside Dr.

Sounds good. I should be home from the 3 PM appt by 4:30 PM at the latest.

Give me a hollar on Monday and remind me.
