Can the heat of my metal halides crack my vho bulbs?

Hi, just like the title says... I have my metal halides about 3" above my vho bulbs. I was just wondering if the heat can crack the vho bulbs? I have 2x 250w MH. Sorry if this is a noobie question. Thanks.

It's unlikely but you should use fans to cool inside your canopy. The problem is more the VHO sockets and the MH heat. If the sockets are too close to the MH, they will melt.

Ty, the sockets are that close to the mh bulbs. I do have fans btw. Thanks again.
