can they be placed on sand?

i know that alot of people recommand putting crocea/maxima clams on a rock. but can they be placed on sand too? i mean, ive seen alot of ppl placing them on their sand base as well.

Maximas and Croceas live in the rocks in the wild. Bury a rock in the sand and let him attach to that if you want to keep him down there. They will be a lot happier attached to a rock.

if your lighting is strong enough then it's fine.as d4a2nok said they do like to grab on to a rock so just place one under them
