Can you fresh-dip clams?

There is a really nice Maxima clam at my LFS, about 4-5'' for 40 bucks. Only problem is...his tank has flatworms. Hes treating it with flatworm exit. I would like to buy it and fresh dip it if possible so its not sold before I get to it! <-- tends to happen to me at this store.

yes u can but i would use that for what u are trying to do

I had the same problem when I got my crocea, just get a brush and brush them off, I wouldn't FW dip it.

FW dipping would only stress the clams. Simply brush the flatworms off with a brush and be thorough. I would also quarantine the clam and monitor for further pests.
