Hello i have a frag of green candycane corals ive had them in the tank for over 6 months and for the past few weeks they look shriveled up and not healthy, my water parameters are all good and my calcium and alkalinity are good as well, however i do have some brown and red stuff on my sand, from what iv read its just from stirring the sand up. I have other candycanes in the tank and they are doing just fine and look very well. some of the heads are beginning to die off too. any help would be appreciated.

yeah, I agree, I also thought that it was starving.... but then again looking at your other candy canes, they look well fed.... Hmm. The BEST food I have found to feed the fleshy lps in my opinion, and anemones as well, for that matter is PE mysis shrimp. Take a look at allll other brands ( almost all) and compare the percentage of the water to crude protein %. Most fall short of making 5- 10%. The percentage of crude protein on the brand 'PE' mysis generally ranges in 61.5 % to 69.5% . That's a PRODIGIOUS difference. From my experience, starved duncans look as though they morphed into elegance corals within a day or two. My euphillias multiply in quite the numbers each month, and are constantly full. My candy canes look gelatinous and plump, and jiggle to the flow, my RBTA which was a small fella had grown into a basketball size within a month, split, grew, then split again, and two are about the size of volleyball, and the third being the size of basketball, within three months after. Alllll of this rambling= P.E. Mysis shrimp....
