Cannot update programming

I am running Aquanotes 3.0 on my WinXP pro Intel 4 PC and it has been working for over 2 years well. Recently however I have had difficulty in making changes in the program editior.

For instance I have attempted to add a couple of control modules with commands for when they go on and off. I am able to do all this successfully in the program editor. When I hit the update program it appears to update. When I then go to the status screen, I find that the new control modules do not show up on the status screen, and when I go back to the program editor, I find the control modules that I added, as well as the timer control commands are no longer shown in the program editor.

You found a bug in the system. What you need to do is to power down the Aquacontroller and remove the back-up battery. Both power types need to be disconnected for 15 seconds. Reapply power and replace the battery and you will be able to update the system now. You will need to reset your controller clock also. I have to do this every couple of months.

I removed power plug from Aquacontroller and removed battery for a minute, and then reconnected power and battery. Interestingly, I was then able to add some more programming, but when I tried to do some additional programming additions in program editor, same program occured despite removing power cord and battery. Have repeatedly attempted to remove power cord, battery, and reboot aquanotes, but still will not let me add additional programming in program editor. I can control all existing modules and get current status in aquanotes.

Yes, there is a maximum. I have an AC3 and 120 statements, and 30 timer names are allowed. The smaller units have less capacity. The manual will have the limits.

I have 74 lines in my script.

Any updates on this - I'm currently having the same problem on an AC2, and am nowhere near the limit on script lines

Thanks!

I have two AC II's and have the same problem with both. I had to send one of them in because after awhile I couldn't get it to update even after powering it down several times.
