cant get my alkalinity to rise

I do not think the mushrooms care one way or the other if you add iodine. I've had mushrooms at pest proportions in reef aquaria with no supplemental iodine.

maybe im just trying to rush them?
ive had them for like 4 months, and they havent really spread yet
one mushroom rock got all shrivled and they turned white, theres one left that looks alot better. the rest i moved into my new 55 gallon and all of a sudden they came back to life....weird these mushrooms are lol

Just keep in mind most mushrooms are low light and will bleach if too much is provided. I noticed in some I have under rock ledges even the reflection from the Metal Halides from the aquarium panes may be too much.
