Soooo, my banded shrimp (waldo) has turned out to be a homicidal maniac. He has eaten 2 cleaner shrimp....I didn't realize he would do this. Anyway, he must be removed with a quickness! Just wondering if any of you would know the best and QUICKEST way to get this loose cannon out. The last thing I want is for him to make a tasty meal out of my lil onyx clown!
Thanks everyone!!!!

Lure him with food...he'll come out....and probably a little research in the future for purchases could save you in trying new tank mates...good luck with the hunt! ~Matt

You could try the crab catcher method. Put a tall glass container on the base of your tank at a slight angle, kinda near where your shrimp hangs out. Tie some food onto a piece of rock rubble (so it doesn't float away). Then wait. If he is hungry enough, he'll go for the food and once inside the glass, he won't be able to get out.

The above totally worked for me when I wanted to get all the crabs out of my tank. Not sure about the shrimp though.

Good luck!

Take a 16 or 20oz plastic soda bottle, cut the top third off and invert it back into the bottom half, it should just wedge in. Throw in some bait, wait over night and in the morning you should have caught your self a shrimp.

Good Luck!

Your talking about a coral banded shrimp...might need to make the opening a little larger and possibly use a 2 liter bottle.
I have caught cleaner shrimps this way, works great.

Funny, a 1/2 within reading this, I wittnessed mine reaching after a swimming fish w/it's 2 front claws. Do I need to do a head count?

Mine has turned into a dastardly lil booger...He tries goin after all my fish now....it's funny to watch my flame angel mess with him though....
thanks for the ideas guys....i'll let you know if i catch him!

So, anyone got any idea what type of bait i might want to use to catch this freak? No luck so far using a gatorade bottle...

was hoping to....i believe my shrimp catching skills will soon be good enough to catch this fiendish lil scallywag!
