Cut it first and put the pieces in different tanks- better chance of survival...
What:confused: survival of the bacteria from all the dead pieces

Oh i think ill pass but Doug does have a point there about spreading it around. Im figuring $160 a piece LOL Let me think about it and we can discuss it tommorrow. Ive blown more money on less LOL Maybe contact the guy and let him know that you have interest in it so we/you can have first dibbs!

How about hiring Anthony Calfo to cut it up? I will volunteer to be the assistant again...not ready to do the cutting yet.

I have a good idea of what Anthony would recommend--

Set it up in an established tank, even better a monospecific tank NOT plumbed in to other tanks with other recently divided frags that are emitting noxious defensive chemicals...Let it establish itself for 6-8 weeks, then frag it (2 pieces) and return it to the tank it was living in to recover. As long as you make a clean cut with a sharp blade and divide it fairly equally, it's not the cutting that's the dangerous part; it's giving it a chance to recover in a clean tank without a lot of other competing animals.

Chris, if you separated that cube and took out all the RBTA's, then that would be a good place for it.

Good luck!
