Chalice fragging

Hey guys I have a chalice that's about 7inch long it's starting to out grow the rock it's on. I would like to frag it but I'm unsure how to. I've seen YouTube vids using razor blades and ive also read about using a dremel with a diamond wheel. I don't have a band saw.

What would be a safe approach that will not harm my chalice too much? Any dips to use to help it heal?

At harbor freight u can get a dremel for $10 an the diamond bits for $4 so for $14 you can cut through the chalice, skeleton, rock, glass, metal, plastic, wood, table or anything you want too. So dremel is the way to go

The dremel is the all around best bet IME. Having a saw is really nice but there are other things you can use the dremel for as well.

Had a diamond wheel and a dremel already. Did the fragging cut like a hot knife through butter. I placed the frags and mother colony in separate baths of Revive then placed them back in the tank.

Easy peasy

Depending on the chalice you could probably break it off. I move a stunner chalice and broke off like a 5" piece. It grew back super fast with no problem.

My chalice was encrusted on a piece of rock so I had to cut through rock and coral.
