It wouldn't be very space effective, but could I just make a simple calcium reactor by dripping Vodka and vinegar through a tub of crushed coral? Dosing elements and carbon at the same time?
Okay so I reacted one cup of Crushed coral with one cup of white vinegar and got a white slurry. I'm gonna add a quart of distilled water to it tomorrow and do a couple of element tests. If contains the elements I believe it should, I'm gonna make an experiment out of this and drip it to the tank almost like a kalkwasser dripper for five minutes and doublecheck the tank parameters. I have enough water on hand to do a 50% water change if it doesn't work and the tank is mostly empty right now so loss would be minimal if it does anything.
