Does anyone know the cheapest RO Unit that would be acceptable for aquarium use? That is all I would need it for and it doesnt need to produce a really large amount of gpd it is only a 75 gallon tank.

To me, the cheapest RO/DI unit that is acceptable for aquarium use is the Typhoon III or equivalent units from melev, buckeye, etc.

I would not agree on saying the Typhoon III. The Orginal Typhoon I is fine for reef tanks, the III just adds more bells and whistles but the dude did say he wants the cheapest. In any case Typhoon units are great and AIW is very customer friendly.

I think there is a need for the extras like the PSI gauge (if you don't already have one) to determine if you need a booster pump to achieve optimum output and also a TDS meter to tell you when and what filters you need to replace.

airwaterice customer service is out of this world, for this reason alone I would do business with them and recommend them to anyone looking for a ro/di unit.
