These are the fish we picked out to put in our 90g with 30g sump tank. I have 120 or so pounds of live rock, plan to add some corals that can survive with pc 4x65 lights. I have a asm g1-x skimmer as well.

True Percula Clownfish x 2
Flame Angelfish x 1
Orange Spot Blenny x 1
BlueGreen Reef Chromis x 2
Clown Goby x 1
Firefish Goby x 1
Green Mandarin x 1
Sleeper Banded x 1
Yellow Tang x 1

These fish compatible? From what I found online they should all be compatible. If so what would be the best order to put them in the tank?

thanks for any input.

The green mandarin should not be added anytime soon. They mainly feed on the pods growing in the tank and it generally takes about 6 to 12 months for their population to be sustainable. Sometimes if you're lucky, you find a mandarin that will accept frozen foods.

Be careful with flame angels. Some flame angels are known to nip at corals. I have a flame angel and he will nip at my sps from time to time.

any other angels that are coral safe that could be added with that list of fish? I like flame angels, but like others much more, just did not know if the large size angels would be okay in this tank with those other fish.

Large angels for the most part aren't reef safe.
Flame angels are hit or miss as well as coral beauty's. You could try your luck at either one of those.

okay, so we will reconsider an angel at all, how about the rest of them, what order should they be introduced.. or does it not matter?

I would add clowns together, other fish in whatever order you like, and the mandarin next to last of the angel...

The mandarin needs the the tank to be established, so looking at 9-12 months, and the angel can be a little aggressive, so I would add it very last..

I have a Lemonpeel Angel, and she rarely messes with my corals, hasn't caused any harm to them, but she bullies my lawnmower blenny...

They do not get very big 3-4", and are very striking in coloration, and she swims out in the water column all the time....

HTH!!

The yellow tang should be one of the if not the last fish added other than the mandarin. I believe all pygmy angels can nip at coral so they are hit and miss. The balance of your fish should be able to be added in about any order.

I think we have decided to go against getting an angel at all, we both really like tangs. Is it possible to add a 2nd tang to a 90g? If so what tang would work well with a yellow tang and the other fish? How about the load so far? Are we at the peak with this list (minus the angel)?

I would say you will be close to maxing out. I have a clown, LMB, twin spot goby, rainford goby, sixline wrasse, yellow choris wrasse, foxface and yellow tang. I think that will be it for my tank unless I add one small fish in the future. The key will be to add slowly and monitor parameters.

If I didn't have the foxface I would have added a Kole Tang along with my yellow. I think you would be OK with two and have heard that you should add them both at the same time if possible. I would not add one of the tangs that can outgrow a 90.
