Hello Everyone,
I have a question for those of you who are good with chemistry or the reef calculators.
To maintain my Calcium and Alkalinity levels I add the following daily:
45 ml each of Randy’s Recipe 1 (baked baking soda)
and 1 gallon of saturated (2tsp/gallon) limewater.
From what I can find, saturated kalk has 808 ppm calcium and 40.8 meq/L alkalinity.
Recipe 1 has 37,000 ppm calcium and 1,900 meq/L alkalinity.
I want to stop using kalk for awhile. How many ml of Recipe 1 will I have to add to maintain my current levels?
Thanks,
