I'm getting mixed messages on the reef compatibilty of the Christmas Wrasse. I think some folks refer to it as an ornate wrasse. Halichores Ornatisimuss is what I am referring to. Anyhow I would like some input from folks who have experience with them good or bad. I have a mixed but primarily hard coral tank. Will be sharing space with 5 bartlett's 7 chromis and a mandarin. Thanks

The reason you're getting mixed responses is because there are about 45 different fish refered to as the "christmas wrasse." You know which fish you are talking about, but a lot of the people responding probably dont which one theyre telling you about.

I'm interested, I want one too.

The "Christmas Wrasse' (Halichoeres ornatissimus) is perfectly compatible with your existing fish and only a threat to tiny crustaceans. It will not harass corals or clams, and it's beneficial in controlling a lot of reef pests.

Thanks. Looks as if I should use spell checker. Can spell Heliochores but not Christmas

Actually, it's "Halichoeres." :)
