I havew been reading and here's what I've got let me know what you think:

Clam care
1st to feed or not, I think the consensus is for under 3" feed over they dont need it but like it. I will feed DT's

2nd Lighting- They need alot, I will have the clam (probably a derasa) under 2 175 watt 10000 K CoralVues and 1 250 watt HQI 20000 K Maximum bulb. In a 55 gallon long tank.

3rd Flow, I dont know much here but I have plenty in my tank, and coves of low flow if they need that.

4th Spawning? I am curious to see if I can get a clam to do it, I read that clams once mature (5" for a derasa) release sperm and eggs is this right, and do they survive in a normal setup?

5th Finally Care for clam babies (if #4 is feasable) I dont wanna dump a ton of money in this, I just think it would be cool if it happened.

TIA for the help and cant wait to get goiing on this

Sqeeze in #2(b) - steady water parameters (pH, alk, calcium)
Sorry, don't know about breeding, but it sounds like you're on the right track.

My clams are just at the size where they say they don't need to be fed, but I do anyway. And they're happy, so I'm not going to stop.

Thank you for the input, anyone else?

Also if my Clam should release sperm and eggs will it toxify my tank? I do have a good skimmer but I still worry.
