Clam cloud my tank

I bought 5 clams for my 30G tank today with 6hrs of shipping. Stupid I know.

Most of the clam started gaping when it reach home. At the same time they were discharging some white stuff, and my tank was really clouded.

What should I do for corrective action... I hardly can see any visibility in my tank.

Urgent help required.

there spawning from stress. you need to do about a 30% water change now and mix another 30% to do another 24 hours after the salt is mixed. make sure the PH and temp of the new water is the same as in the tank.also put a few bags of carbon in the tank,make sure your skimmer is working as best it can.

omg;

This is bad....

Its 1.30 am now from here Asia, unearthly hours. This is gona be painful...

The LS and corals seems okay for now even with the cloudiness. How long can I leave it before water change? They just arrive some 2 hrs back.

Spawning stress, you mean they spawn as in mating when stressed?

Thanks in advance...

i would do the water change ASAP. something caused the to be stressed out. i could have been the shipping, improper acclamation, ph change, Sg change. the gametes that they released will quickly die and and start to decompose, consuming alot of the O2 in the tank,creating an ammonia spike, and fouling the tank water

do the water change as soon as possible.
stress or illness will cause mass spawnings in clams.
the eggs and sperm will smother everthing if left too long.

Thanks guys;

Really appreciate these help. I just fired up the second canister fiter with 3 bags of carbon, lucky to have some spare...

Now I going to do water change. Got to get the water parameters right first, hope I can get it replace in half hours time.

I really hope I will survive this man.... All corals are growing and happy, until now... I'll be damn....

Okay, water change done, prepared the water for 24 hrs change done.

I guess now is just to wait it out. Tire like ****, 3.30 am here.....

The sun coral seems happy when the clam spawn, maybe just eating the spawn.

Thank guys, time to sleep, there is a war waiting....

i had a large clam do this when i first got him as well. he is 10", i did a water change and ran carbon everything is ok and the clam is still with me today. you should be ok.

Thanks guy, for all the comforting words, really appreciate it. What worries me is that I bought 5 clams altogether, and my tank only 30G. I dun need so many, just that I bought for some fellow reefer here in Singapore. They are just temporary at my home and now I encounter this.

Maybe not a good idea to be samitarian. I bought from Indonesia while at work there for abt 4USD per piece.

Update;

Thanks for all response to this resuce mission. Will do my next water change soon.

All cloudiness has now cleared, 4 clam seems to have aclimated to my tank. One looks weak.

This one sick on has it mantle deep in the shell and are less responsive to shadow but alive. Anything I can do to make it survive?
