Clam eating fish

Are there any fish that I need to stay away from that might eat or pester clams to death? I'm plumbing two tanks together. One tank will be fish w/LR & the other will be SPS. I was going to put clams in the SPS tank, but now I'm thinking I'd like to put them in with the fish that are typically "coral eaters". It would add some color to the fish tank.

TIA,

David

I wouldn't stick most of the non reef safe fish with them. Dwarf angels can be a problem as well. A customer at one of our local fish stores lost all of his clams (around 10-12) in one night to a flame angel who ripped the siphons on all of them.

It really comes down to how much of a chance you want to take. Personally, I won't put any risky fish in with my clams. I like the clams too much and I would also feel bad since they can't really escape a predator that I stick in with them.

hahaha,

I'm sure he was!!! The fish got what he deserved...

That would really suck if the fish was one of them 1000 dollar pygmies.:D

I had that same fish, one day I was watching it and it started picking at my Brain coral! Oooohhhh, was I mad. So I took him out and traded him to the LFS.
