Clam help?

My 1.5" black max attached to the same shell as my 2.5" max. Their shells are touching but they are facing away from each other. Not so much of a problem now, but will it become one as they grow? Will one detach when it feels cramped or should I try to move it? I've read that you can cut the foot, but not tear it? Any advice is appreciated....

Like you say , not a problem now but later..... You can cut the threads, as close as you can against the shell.

Do you have a picture of the clams. Where did you get a black clam? Have been trying to get one?

I got them from clamsdirect. Great place with excelent service. I don't have a picture right now. The one I have is too big to post. Thanks for the input....
