clam not "opening"

I have a crocea clam and today he is not opening, yesterday he was completely open. water params are good. He is located halfway up the tank under 175 watt MH and 2-65 watt ultra actinics. Should I be concerned or is it just because my fish keep buzzing him. Don't yell at me I will be upgrading to a 250 watt MH shortly.
