Clam question?

Will a squamosa clam thrive under my lighting, which is a 150 watt HQI 10k and a 65 watt 50/50 PC? The tank is a 44 gallon and the clam would be 23 inches from the halide. Also, I will be adding another 65 watt PC when I get a chance to alter my hood. I think that I have sufficient lighting, but will it do well??? Thanks

Yes the lighting sounds fine! What else is going to be in the tank with the clam.

I have a frogspawn, red open brain, finger leather, star polyps, yellow polyps, two varieties of buttons, sun coral, mushrooms, toadstool and a candy cane as far as corals go. The fish are a Kole tang, pair of false percs and a sixline wrasse. Numerous snails and NO crabs. Everything sound OK?

Keep him away from the coral as not to get stung. Some coral have long swippes.

That sounds great! Premium Aquatics, an LFS for me, has some babies for about 16.00. I planned on for the first several months taking it out and direct feeding DT's. Sound OK? Are any other clams an option? Thanks
