Clam retracted in its shell and gaping

I transfered my blue maxima from my nano with 2x55wpc and 132w pc into a system with Metal halides. (175w 10k ushio) The clam now retracted its lips into the shell and it seems to be stressed. What is causing this problem? am i going to lose this clam or does it have a chance? All perams are good.

This has been going on for 2 days now. Is it still adjusting to the light change? It is also in a shady spot

Sounds to me like it is still adjusting to the new lights. Might want to move it into an area that is more shaded for a few days or decrease your photoperiod.
