hello,
i just picked up two gold maxima's and noticed one of them had a yellow polyp intermixed with white spots.
i have never seen a polyp like this and thought it might be an anemone but it doesn't look like one. i have yellow and brown polyps and this one looks lighter in color than the regular yellows.
my question is: the tips of the polyp touches the mantle of the clam. is this causing any damage or irritation?
i noticed that he doesnt open up as much as the other guy.
any help would be appreciated!
take care!
