I have a crocea under a T5.. but its a 10g, and about 6" from the light.

6-lamp? I'd think you'd be fine, but I"m not the expert. In for better advice.

No problem. If you get a crocea or maxima you may need to place it mid to high. Deresa, squamosa, and gigas would be fine on the bottom.

You will be fine with that light and any of the tridacnids.
