Hi folks,
I'm trying to understand why my clam's mantle(Maxima) split straight down about 1/4" below the inhalant syphon all the way to the mantle's exterior rim;as if it was splitting.The inhalant is gaping a little but other than that it's doing well.It's been like this for a few months.I've had this clam for 9 months and I feed it live phyto 2-3 x /week and has good reflex.Is the clam mantle going to split and die or is this normal behavior?
I don't have a digital camera so I can't post it.
