clams, wheres the place to get em?

Im looking to pick up a 2-3" maxima clam from a local store sometime soon. I know some of the good online stores such as clams direct, but decided to pick a clam up at a lfs because I can check it out in person before I buy it and I don't have to pay shipping charges (Im a cheap college student). Where is a good store that has really nice maximas with nice patterns, and are good with having no pests such as pyramid snails and whatnot. Thanks!

I bought two of them today but they are not the type he is looking for. They are crocea's.

the clams at sea schor are crocea clams. I havent seen a maxima at any lfs in awhile.

Go fish in orland had 4 maximas last time I was there, 2weeks. 2 gold and 2 blue.

Thanks guys, I may check out go fish. I just seen reef depot got in a number of maximas, may check that out.

I was just at reef depot and their clams are absolutely breath-taking. I am upgrading my lighting after seeing them. Want some so bad :rollface:

Yep Reef Depot has good clams. I bought a 22" gigas from them a while back and its doing great.
