clams x water motion

iÃ"šÃ‚´m thinking in putting a small clam (mayve a derasa or a squamosa) in the top of my tank. i know they make better in the substrate but i only have a 70w MH, so i think putting it 15cm far from de surface will be enough. but, thereÃ"šÃ‚´s one problem. the circulation in the area. do these clams like medium water motion?

Just make sure it's mantle isn't being blown to much. I would be more worried about it jumping off from such a high perch. Keep a close eye on it if you are going to try. I think your lighting is questionable at best.
