Hello group.
I'm runnning a Tidepool sump with a bio-wheel.

After moving the bio-wheel has been in the bottom of my aquarium for about a week now. Should I try and clean it or will it be ok?
It never did dry out, I kept it wet while moving.

Thanks for any info

You can rinse a bio-wheel to remove excess build-up, but I wouldn't scrub or brush it clean. You don't want to remove too many of the bacteria that populate it, so try to avoid scrubbing it. If you decide you need to rinse it, you can use old tank water without a problem.

I'm not sure if all biowheels are the same, but when I bought a HOB with a biowheel, it said never to clean it, and in fact, it's job is to get grungy!

if it was just sitting in water for a week the bacteria is most likly dead, rinse it off and fire it up, it will most likly need to build up the bacteria again
