Cleaning an acrylic tank

I picked up a used acrylic tank last week and am going to start setting it up this weekend. I have never had acrylic before, can I use vinegar to get rid of the calcium build up like I would on a glass tank?

Vinegar would work just fine. Just make sure you rinse like a mad man.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure that it would not cloud the acrylic. That would have been an expensive mistake.

Vinegar is fine; you want to avoid things like Windex that is said to cloud it.

That worked great. I dumped about a gallon of vinegar in the tank (140g) and let it sit for about half a beer. Then would wipe the side that was facing the ground. Every thing just wiped right off. No scrubbing at all. then I rolled the tank over to the next side and did it all over again. Three beverages later the tank looks like new.
