Where does everyone collect (if you do) and what do u find and get?

ok well can i have any useful hint to where to collect fish within snorkeling depth. I am scuba certified but wanna save the hassle. I dont really care about inverts but that would be nice. And Lastly if you help i would like a LEGAL place dont tell me something in protected areas.

in the keys, the area around Anne's beach is a good place to start. in Miami any of the beaches on the Key Biscayne (not in the state or county parks). i believe in broward people collect off the reef next to the dania pier
