It talks about sexual specialization and monogamy in lysiosquillid stomatopods...I'm wondering, are there any examples of colonial tendencies in mantis shrimps?
Some mantis also aggregate in dense congregations:

Their inherent aggressiveness and way of life (in smashers, living in limited-supply cavities) seem to be against this tendency, but it would be a fascinating discovery to find the beginnings of such in some isolated population somewheres...
