colors with a flashlight at night means growth..??

I've started checking my tank at night with a flashlight and i'm amazed at what I see... Well I've started noticing something funny with a few of my corals... All my monti's look purple where they seem to be growing.... These monti's have no purple in them under my normal lighting, but with the flashlight there's a purple tint only where new growth is... I don't even know how I'd be able to get a pic of this... Has anyone else seen this in there tanks..??

it is the type of light that is giving them that pink color, and is why when you see photos of coral they will tell you the color of the coral.
