I have a Canon 350D and am in the market for a good 50mm lens suitable to low light indoor photos and landscape use. The canon version is alot more expensive than some of the older manual focus lenses which are known to have better optics.
I am looking at the 50mm f/1.7 contax. Does anyone have any experience using this lens on the Rebel XT body? I understand I will have to set everything manually but will there be any problems focusing to infinity? Am I understanding that since there is no glass in the adapters, as long as the adapter is very well made to be 1.5mm thick there shouldnt be a problem focusing to infinity.........
I cant register on www.dpreview.com since my ISP sucks when it comes to customer service and wont give me my email acct and password, so I thought some of the photogs on here may have experience.
