convert ETSS RD 2 into beckett?

I just wanted to get some opinions from others.Ive got an old Reef Devil skimmer thats no longer in use and was thinking about hacking it up and converting it into a beckett type skimmer.Im a little undecided because if I hack it up and it doesnt work I would then be unable to possibly selling it. Has anyone converted their Reef Devil into a beckett with any sucsess?Am I best off by just geting rid of it and buying a new beckett skimmer?What do you think? thanks alot
