My nanocubehas 24w x 2 110v for lighting, and there are 2 fans cooling the lights. And i have my heater set to 76F, but my thermometer says its 83F So i thought that a fan would help cool down the water. But...i dont know where or how to wire these fans( what equiment to get and stuff) I have a regular computer fan, that i was thinking of making into a fan for my tank, but i dont know how to wire it. Anyone has experience in this? that could help me

same as mine

I put this on socal forums as well

You can add the fans to your nano, but your evaporation rate will go up, you will have to watch your salinity like a hawk if you move too much air, my nano had that issue, I had to rig up a drip tube off of a milk jug into the tank to make up for the evatoration. The wife didnt like the look of the jug o water resting on the tank...but it worked

If the fan you have is DC- just use a 12V adapter from an old charger or adapter. Just splice the wires- if you want the fan to spin in the other direction, switch the wires. Try these fans-they are extremely quiet-

Agree that is the cheapest way!

You can search www.NewEgg.com for very inexpensive computer case fans. Strip off just a little of the wires insulation and connect to a AC/DC power converter. I got my converter at Radio Shack really cheap.
Good luck. :)

Harbor Freight Tools less than $6 for an adjustable voltage DC power supply. That way you can vary the speed of the fans.

My fan says its dc..and does anyone know where u can get a dc/ac power converter , tried radio shack
