copper reefs and anemone

I've been reading that anemone do better when the water in the tank is straight from the tap(declorinated etc). That of the anemone that live over a year in tanks 86% of the tanks use tap, copper and all and only 14% use ro/di. So does this mean that my sps is doomed to die or my anemonie bites it? Anyone know about these things?

84% of those that make it over a year use tap water. That means nothing. If 99% of the people trying to keep 'nems use tap water then that is a sure sign that RO/DI is a big help.

If 50% of 'nem keepers use tap water then I might consider it some form of evidence.

As for me, I've been using tap water but I'm tired of the micro-algae so I've ordered an RO/DI unit and will dump in some phosban.

I use RO/DI water. I have had my Haddoni for over 6 years now. My orginal BTA (with many clones) for about 4 years. My RBTA (with two clones) for just under 2 years.

Excellent!

Thanks so much for the link. Answers all my questions.

I have been using ro/di and I think it's great. I'm glad to hear there is an option if needed. Good to think about.

I have been reading about saltwater in general for awhile. I wish book stores and librarys would carry more books.

Thanks again.
