Copper + rock

I was wondering if it would be alright to use base rock i had in a QT tank that was treated with copper, would it create problems for the display? What if i soaked the rocks for a long period of time? Basically what im asking is if copper is absorbed into the rock.

i thought copper only was absorbed by the silicone in the tank? so even if i soak the rock for a while they are still unusable? sorry for being a noob about it, but i just dont know how copper interacts with different materials.

Yes, it soaks in to the rock, filtration, pumps, sand. Its just not worth the risk. The rocks are unusable in a tank w/any inverts in it.

the sand is not worth saving. the rock may be saved but will be dead rock after you remove the copper. the tank and pumps/equipment can be reused with the proper cleaning.
