Coralife 220 skimmer too much for 55g?

Lot'sa people seem to praise this skimmer, and I wonder if it might be way overkill for a moderately loaded 55g. mixed reef?

I think it would be fine. I don't believe there's such a thing as overskimming!
If its pulling too much stuff, just lower the level in the chamber to make it pull dryer, darker foam.
Go for it. I'm considering buying the exact same thing for my 55 gallon.
