i am thinking about getting this light for my 40 breeder and want to know if you think that 1 DE 150 hqi will light the whole tank. i am not looking for ''i think's'' i want to see pictures or personal expirences.

thanks:)

i have a 24 inch aqua lite pro on my 54 and love it. but i dont have anything to judge it to its the only set up i have used. good luck

do you know how much coverage a DE bulb like on the 36'' one gets? i know the standard saying is 2'x2' butr i want someones expirence.

I have two 24" Coralife Aqualights on my 100 gallon peninsula.

I like them very much. They are quiet, reliable and plenty bright.

However, if the light is "enough" or not depends entirely on your tank and what's in it.

Are they the 150W or 250W versions of the Aqualight Pro Tang Salad? I want to run a 36" Aqualight Pro 150W fixture over a 40G breeder? Do you think this would be sufficient? The tank is 16" deep. Do you think it would give enough coverage? Mainly softies and LPS in the tank. Maybe "try" an easy SPS in the future. :) Thanks for your experiences/opinions!! :)

Mine are the 150w. I didn't know they made 250w...

For your tank, at 16" deep, I'd say it will be plenty for what you want to keep.

It's a nice light. I think you'll like it.
