I have the same thing (super skimmer) on my 72 gallon system. I have been happy with it save for a few things:
The insump pump is very sensitive. If you don't have it at the exact measurement under the waterline, the air will not mix in with the incoming water....no skimming will occur.
The skimming seems to be super sensitive when adding top-off water or even food. If the water changes, the skimmer goes haywire...this is where the super in the super skim kicks in, and your collection chamber will over flow! (hint - use the tube draining to a bottle!)
The return water out of the skimmer creates ALOT of bubbles, even with the bubble diffuser attached. I actually got rid of the bubble diffuser and sewed my own "skimmer sock" out of white felt. This greatly reduced the amount of bubbles going into the display tank.
I am happy otherwise with the skimmer - it works far better than the one I had...wish I would have gone 225 for my 72 gallon. Will be putting it on my brackish tank next summer when I upgrade my reef system to 200+ (haven't yet decided!).
Although, wish I would have heard about this octopus before I got it!
