I was thinking about getting corcea clam for size reasons, got a 10g tank. I was wondering if the chemical the clams uses to break down the rocks will have an affect on my acrylic tank IF I was to place it on the sand?
The answer is no. But I would recomend putting a sea shell that Sally sells by the seashore right under the sand so if you ever have to move him you don't rip his foot off trying to get him off the acrylic.
Ok, thanks. I was going to place the clam on a rock or shell, but was worried that the clam will bore deep into the rock over time and keep going until it reaches the acrylic bottom.
