cords

im planning a large scale upgrade and ive takin alot of time to carefully plan it out and prepair before actually getting the ball rolling. the one thing im seeing as a problem is electrical cords. i plan to use multiple tunze hidden in the rocks but im unsure of how i will be able to hide the cords in this peninsula style tank. the only thing i can think of is to build the rockwork up to the water surface and hide it in there, but in my plans, i dont want all areas to be stacked this high. i even if i can pull that off it means im required to store the motor of the tunze in the canopy. i know im not the only one whos ran into this problem and just curious what kinda of solutions are out there.

I am hoping to see some other answers to this.

In my peninsula 180, I have my return line from the sump coming up through the bottom of the tank, split to two, and then go to the corners of the glass, all the way up to where they then blow across the surface of the water toward the overflow end. I used the black spray foam to cover the PVC with some texture so I have two "rocky" columns. I also can snake a cord or two up next to them and can even pin them to the foam with some plastic. On the outside, I have some wood trim on the corners to hide the back view of the two columns. The cords are pretty well camoflaged.

It is not as "open" a view with the trim on there I guess, but the corners of the glass tank weren't pretty anyway. It wouldn't be for everyone, I have a couple inches of sand to hide the plumbing on the bottom.
